Rest Haven Baptist Church is a King James Only, Independent, Fundamental, Baptist Church.

What We Believe

Simple Faith, Straight From the Bible

We keep things simple. Here's what we believe, in plain language — no theology degree required.

The Bible

We believe in the verbal, complete inspiration of the Bible. The Old and New Testaments were divinely inspired word for word. We accept the Textus Receptus manuscripts from which came the King James Bible. The Bible is our final Authority on all matters of faith and practice.

God

God is Person, eternally existing, as a Trinity in unity - Father, Son, and Holy Ghost - three Persons and yet one God. (Deuteronomy 6:4; Matthew 28:19; 1 Corinthians 8:6)

Jesus Christ

Jesus Christ, as the Eternal Son of God, is the eternally begotten Son of God the Father, Who became a man totally apart from sin, being conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary, and is true God and true man. The Lord Jesus Christ suffered and died as a substitutionary sacrifice for the sins of the whole world. He arose from the dead in the body in which He was crucified; He ascended into Heaven in the glorified body where He is seated at the right hand of God the Father as Head of the Church, making intercession for the saints as our High Priest.(Luke 1:30-35; 24; John 1:1-15; Acts 1:9-11; Romans 5:8-10; Ephesians 1:20-23; Philippians 2:5-8; Colossians 1:15; 1 Peter 3:18)

Mankind

Man was created in the image of God but fell through sin, bringing not only physical death but also spiritual death - separation from God. Now mankind, having inherited a sinful nature, is depraved and bent toward sinning, and has become sinful in thought, word, and deed. (Genesis 1:26, 27; 2:16, 17; 3:6-19; Romans 3:10-23; 6:23)

Salvation

Man is lost and must be born again to enter the Kingdom of God. Salvation is by grace through faith in the finished work of Christ on the cross and his bodily resurrection from the dead. (John 1:12; 3:3-7; Ephesians 2:8,9)

The Church

The church is a local, visible, assembly of believers baptized by water, banded together for edification, exhortation, and evangelism as commanded by Christ in the Great Commission: preaching the Gospel to every creature. (Mark 16:15; 1 Corinthians 12:12; Ephesians 1:22, 23)

Christ's Second Coming

The Lord Jesus Christ Himself is coming again in the air at any moment to catch up church-age saints and to reward their service; the unbelievers left behind will go through a period called the Tribulation, after which Christ shall return visibly to the earth to set up His Kingdom of one thousand years of righteous rule; after this the unbelievers of all ages will stand at the Great White Throne to be judged and cast into the Lake of Fire, separated from God forever, while the believers spend eternity in the fullness of the joy in Heaven with the Lord. (John 14:1-4; 1 Thessalonians 4:16-18; Revelation 4:1; Matthew 24:29-42; Revelation 19:11-20:15)

Our service gatherings are simple: heartfelt singing, straightforward Bible teaching and preaching, and time to pray together.

We meet midweek to pray, dig into scripture together, and deepen our understanding of God's word.

Kids learn Bible stories in a way built just for them, in a safe, caring space during our worship service.

Youth Ministry

A place for our teens to ask real questions, build real friendships, and grow their faith.

We support missionaries near and far, and look for ways to spread the gospel locally throughout the year.

Monthly dinners and seasonal celebrations — we believe some of the best ministry happens around a table.

First Time Visiting?

Here's What to Expect

Visiting a new church can feel a little nerve-wracking. We want you to feel at ease before you ever walk through our doors — here are answers to the questions most first-time guests ask us.

What time should I arrive?

Come anytime between 9:30 and 9:55 AM for Sunday School, or by 10:45 AM for our worship service. Someone will be at the door to greet you and help you find a seat — no need to sneak in the back.

What should I wear?

Wear whatever makes you comfortable. Some of our folks dress up a little, others come in everyday clothes — you'll fit in either way. We care about you being here, not what you're wearing.

Where do I park?

We have guest parking right in front. All of our parking is close to the building.

What happens during the service?

Our service is simple and unhurried: a few songs of worship, a time of prayer, a Bible message from our Pastor that's easy to follow, and a warm welcome to stay and talk afterward. The whole service runs about an hour to an hour and fifteen minutes.

Are children welcome?

Absolutely — children are always welcome in our main service, and we also have a children's class where kids can learn at their own level. Come as a family; we're glad to have you all.
